Brad Avery is a guitarist for the Christian rock band Third Day. Born Bradley Brent Christopher Avery on August 20, 1971.

Brad started playing piano when he was 5 years old. By the time he was 12 he could learn songs by ear and play them on his guitar. After a year in college he went on tour with Young American Showcase for two years.

A couple of years later he got hooked up with Third Day at a benefit concert that he was also playing in. Eight months later Third Day was looking for another guitarist so he joined up for a try. After a second try-out where he crafted the lead guitar parts for the early hits "Blackbird" and "Consuming Fire," they knew it was a perfect fit.

Brad currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and three daughters.
